MEMBERS of a borough spinning class are set to take on a messy challenge in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.

A total of nine residents, who all use Arrow Valley Health Club off Battens Drive, will be taking on the X Runner mud run.

The 10km challenge in Derbyshire this May will see the group, who have named themselves the Stinky Spinners, taking on challenges such as tightropes, cargo nets, mud, an assault course and an open water swim.

Natalie Rastall said herself and spin instructor Dan Cuniapen had got seven others from the spin class to take part.

"The X Runner is something I wanted to do as my grandad is in the latter stages of Alzheimer's. I want to do this for him and also to help towards funding this dreadful disease as the Alzheimer's Society need as much support and funding for the future."
