STOCK and volunteers are needed to help give a new lease of life to a revamped charity shop.

Cancer Research UK, on Market Place, closed on March 22 for a week as part of a refurbishment.

But the shop was re-opened on Tuesday (April 1) by mayor Wanda King and doors are now open to customers and donors.

Manager Tracy Blewett said: "We desperately need people to donate items, or volunteer their time. There's lots of different jobs people can do whether it is in the back with stock or dressing the windows."

Everything except videos, electricals, baby equipment and furniture can be donated to the shop, while a collections service is also available.
