A TEENAGE girl was assaulted twice in different parts of the town within five weeks.

The latest incident happened on Hewell Road near Redditch Bus Station on Thursday, March 13, at 4.30pm when the 17-year-old's head was pushed into some metal railings by a man.

The first occurred just after midnight on Friday, February 7, at the McDonald's on Coldfield Drive. The girl and a young man were sitting at a table when the man started threatening her.

They moved outside and the man grabbed the girl around the throat and then punched her in the face.

PC Damian Elcock said: "We think there were a number of people at the McDonald's and on Hewell Road when these incidents happened."

Anyone with any information should call PC Elcock on 101, quoting incident number 334-S-140314, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
