THE FRIENDS of two teenagers who tragically passed away will walk round a town lake to honour them.
About 50 youngsters will take part in a fun walk around Arrow Valley Lake on Sunday (March 23) in memory of 17-year-old Craig Prentice who lost his life on December 10 last year from a cardiac arrest, as well as 15-year-old Richard Fellows who drowned in the River Arrow last Sunday (March 16).
The event, organised by Charleey Friar and Lysander Hayes, begins at 3pm and will include four laps of the lake.
Debbie Wickett, who is supporting the event, said: "The day is about showing how united people are and it provides a way for everyone to cope with the loss.
"We've had so many people getting in touch who want to take part or help out on the day and it really is touching.
"These young lads had a huge impact on the community, so it is a lovely way to show what they mean to people."
Any money raised will be split between Redditch Heart Safe, which Craig's parents Robert and Maggie Underwood set up, and Richard's family.
Everyone is invited to take part and should meet at the park's visitors centre at 2.30pm.
