PUPILS at Oak Hill First School are the latest to receive life-saving equipment thanks to a kind-hearted donation.

A defibrillator was given to the school by Redditch Heart Safe after funds were donated to the organisation by Redditch Round Table.

The equipment was installed as part of a campaign by Robert and Maggie Underwood to make all schools, clubs and public buildings heart-friendly.

As part of the donation, Mr Underwood also trained teachers and carers at the school on how to safely use the machine.

Andrew Bush, from Redditch Round Table, said: “Without the effort Redditch Heart Safe has put into this community there simply would not be as many defibrillators in Redditch.

“We wanted to make a donation to once again raise the profile of Heart Safe and also to help pay towards the next defibrillator.”

Mr Underwood added the money and continue support received from Redditch Round Table was highly appreciated.
