A TRIAL date has been set for a man charged with stabbing a Redditch woman to death.
Akeel Hussain, of Pembroke Croft in Birmingham, will stand trial at Worcester Crown Court on September 24.
The 29-year-old, who appeared at the court today (Wednesday) and is alleged to have murdered 21-year-old Kirsty Wright.
Miss Wright was taken to the Alexandra Hospital with serious stab wounds after an incident at a house on Evesham Road on Saturday (March 15).
Despite the best efforts of medical professionals she passed away on Sunday (March 16).
Hussain was remanded in custody until his next court date on June 16 where he will enter a plea.
