WORKERS from a Redditch family support service were out and about in the town centre to mark No Smoking Day.
The Early Help team (right) visited the Kingfisher Centre on Wednesday (March 12) to encourage shoppers to give up the habit.
Smoking cessation advisor Gabi Jarecka said: “We all know how harmful smoking can be. It can affect not only the smoker but also the health of their children, their partner and people around them. If you’re pregnant it impacts on your unborn child.
“It’s not easy to stop smoking, but it can be done with support. We are here to ensure you don’t have to rely on willpower alone.”
For more information about the free stop smoking service, call 07966 464708 or go to a drop-in session between 1pm and 3pm on Mondays at Maple Trees in Winyates, 1pm and 3pm on Wednesdays at Cherry Trees in Batchley or 9am and 12pm on Fridays at Woodlands, Woodrow.
