CANNABIS plants being grown in an upstairs bedroom at a Matchborough property have been seized by police.

Around a dozen plants and associated growing equipment were found at the rental property in Cherrington Close by officers from the Winyates and Church Hill Safer Neighbourhood Teams shortly before 5pm on Monday (March 10) after they were contacted by estate agents checking the house.

No arrests have been made yet but inquiries are continuing.

Anyone with any information about the production or use of illegal drugs should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
