Bookworms are colourful characters

CHILDREN’S stories were brought to life at Studley Community Library.

Pupils from St Mary’s Catholic Primary School transformed into their favourite characters as part of World Book Day last Thursday (March 6).

As part of the day the bookworms enjoyed a selection of their favourite titles which sit on new shelves in the children’s section after a a developer in the village nominated the library to receive some money.

They were then made to fit by local carpenter, Iain Ward of Sundale Joinery.

A spokesman for the library said: “The children’s section is much more appealing now we have these colourful new shelves and it’s easier to display all out lovely picture books.

“They have been a big hit with the children and their families.”
