PUPILS at a school near Alcester blogged their way to a national prize thanks to their love of cooking.

Haselor Academy was named as winner of the Food For Life Partnership’s best blog for their entry about taking part in the annual Roast Dinner Day organised by the programme.

The school was presented with its prize of a VegTrug - a self-contained raised vegetable garden - last Friday (February 28) which will be kept in the early years area.

Headteacher Gill Humphriss said: “We are delighted with the VegTrug which will enhance outdoor learning for the children.

“We are a school that is committed to developing children’s experiences and we are looking forward to continuing to work closely with the Food For Life Partnership so that the children of today become the champions of healthy eating tomorrow.”
