BROWNIES were read all over as they turned old copies of newspapers into ballerina outfits.

Members of 2nd Studley (St Mary’s) practised movements from Swan Lake and the Nutcracker in their creations under the instruction of Studley School of Dance.

As well as working towards their dancer’s badge, the group is also preparing for the Brownie Showtime event to celebrate 100 years of the organisation.

It is being held at Studley High School on April 5 at 6.30pm and will include workshops throughout the day such as morris dancing, samba drumming and sign and motion songs. In the evening their will be a magic show as well as various dances and sketches.

The show is being sponsored by Warwickshire County Council and aims to raise the profile of Guiding and encourage more people to become volunteers and members.
