Man charged after bridge incident

A MAN is due to appear before magistrates in connection with an incident on a Redditch bridge.

The 24-year-old from the town will appear in court in Worcester today (Wednesday) charged with causing a public nuisance, possessing an offensive weapon, assaulting a police officer and theft.

The charges relate to an incident in which a man was threatening to jump from a bridge over Woodrow Drive close to the Alexandra Hospital and Kingsley College on Monday (March 3).
