PROFESSIONALS have had the chance to find out about a new family service Organised by Redditch Borough Council and YMCA.

The Early Help fair on Tuesday (February 25) was attended by more than 150 people who work with or support families across the borough.

Visitors found out about support available from the new service - which replaces SureStart and is aimed at anyone with children aged from birth to 19 - including parenting courses, family learning, teenage transition support and health clinics.

Community development co-ordinator Louise Hall said: “This has been a very successful and productive event. It has been great to meet our partner agencies and to learn about them as well as them learning about us.

“There is such a lot of help on offer to local families which some agencies may not be aware of, this launch has been effective in giving up to date quality information and knowledge about the services on offer.”

For more information about Early Help, call 0800 085 8106.
