A MAN threatening to jump off a Woodrow bridge has been talked down after nearly ten hours.
Police say the incident ended 'peacefully' just before 9pm on Monday (March 3). A man in his 20s was arrested and taken into custody.
The incident brought widespread disruption to the area after it begun about 11am on the bridge near to Kingsley College, resulting in the closure of Woodrow Drive to the junction of Studley Road, although the Alexandra Hospital was still accessible from further up the road.
School buses and parents collecting children from Kingsley College were forced to park in nearby Studley Road where they were helped by police and staff.
Writing on Twitter West Mercia Police said: "Huge thanks to local people for their understanding."
