A HEADLESS Cross author gained some interest in his collection of children’s books at a town centre bank.

Simon Barugh showcased his books about Sloppy the Sausage - an underweight sausage who despite his size can always save the day - at Barclays in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

The branch offers people in the community with small business accounts to promote their ventures in its foyer.

Mr Barugh, who donates 19p from every book sale to Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: “The children loved it and I was really happy to be out their talking to people and promoting the books.

“I think it’s great the bank are supporting local small businesses like this.”

Visit www.sloppythesausage.co.uk for more information about the books or to purchase them.
