A SINGING duo have celebrated 60 years in perfect harmony.

Former Arrow Vale Singers Geoff and Edna Viles reached their diamond anniversary last Thursday (February 20) having married in Nottingham in 1954.

Now aged 86 and 83, the pair moved to Redditch shortly after they married - living above the grocer’s shop in Headless Cross which is now Redditch Spice.

They have two children, Jo and Chris, and two grandchildren, Elliot and Jorja, and celebrated the anniversary with a family meal including son-in-law Gary.

The Viles met at Butlins and Geoff went on to complete national service in the RAF before becoming an engineer and having an active role in the commission for the New Town.

Edna worked in the civil service and later for George Homer, which was part of the GKN Group.
