CHURCH Hill pupils put the town’s MP in the hot seat as part of lessons in Government.
Year 5 children from Church Hill Middle School wrote to Karen Lumley and invited her to the school to be quizzed on her role and responsibilities.
Questions such as how much she was paid and if she had met The Queen were all put to Mrs Lumley, while pupils also expressed what they would like to see changed in the borough.
Mrs Lumley said: “It was a brilliant day and the questions asked were very direct and they were confident in asking them. They clearly know what they are talking about.”
She added the school’s council would also be visiting her for a tour around Parliament next month.
