STAFF at a town centre restaurant had a taste of success after impressing judges at the Asian Curry Awards.

Champagne Express on Unicorn Hill was highly commended in the Best in the West Midlands category, picking up a trophy and getting to attend a networking dinner at the Houses of Parliament for the second year running.

Owner Abdul Ullah said: “We attended with no high hopes as we have only been trading for two and a half years, so we were overwhelmed.

“We have had lots of well-wishers on Facebook and new customers who have come in because we won.”
