WINYATES pupils welcomed in the Year of the Horse as part of their Chinese New Year celebrations.

Reception children at Roman Way First School found out about how the event is marked as well as sampling some of the country’s food.

A spokeswoman said: “The children have enjoyed finding out about Chinese New Year celebrations. The children made their own stir fries and have now opened their own Chinese restaurant.”
