STAFF from a town centre charity shop chose a colourful way to raise awareness of heart disease.

Volunteers from the British Heart Foundation store donned bright red clothing as part of Ramp up the Red day last Friday (February 7).

Instructors from Pure Gym also held demonstrations and brought equipment into the shop to promote a healthier lifestyle and raise awareness of heart disease.

The store was one of hundreds to take part in the national event, along with thousands of people, in a bid to boost funds for vital research.

Manager Tony Poyner, said: “It was a great day and the customers really enjoyed it. Fun was definitely had by all for a really good cause.”
