THIS was the scene after two women and a young boy had a lucky escape when their car overturned in Woodrow.

Emergency services were called to the Jolly Farmer pub off Woodrow Drive about 12.45pm, on Monday (February 10).

The Renault Megane Scenic had landed on its roof after the woman driver lost control of the vehicle.

The driver, a woman passenger and the boy all managed to escape from the car without the help of the fire service.

Ambulance crews took the driver to the Alexandra Hospital but her injuries are not thought to be serious.

The passenger and the boy were also taken to be checked over.

The road was closed by West Mercia Police in both directions for about 30 minutes.
