Broken wrist after non-stop collision

A WOMAN was left with a broken wrist after a crash involving a motorbike which failed to stop.

The incident happened around 7.30pm on Saturday (February 8) near the newsagent on Hewell Road as the 40-year-old was crossing over towards the direction of Enfield Road.

She had nearly reached the other side when she was hit by a motorcycle. It did not stop and sped off towards the town centre.

The victim was taken to the Alexandra Hospital by a relative and treated for injuries including a broken left wrist and swelling and bruising to her left knee.
