MEMBERS of a Redditch boxing club have joined forces to knock out litter.

Viking Boxing and Fitness Club held a litter pick around Arrow Valley Park on Saturday (February 1) where they were joined by Redditch MP Karen Lumley and pupils from Birchensale Middle School.

The group spent over an hour walking around the borough beauty spot and collected about 20 bags of rubbish.

Lar O’Connor, who runs the Lakeside based gym, said they hoped to make the litter picks a monthly event.

“I just can’t stand litter,” he said.

“It was disgusting and for some of the children and young lads there it was a real eye opener.”
