Gritters out after bad weather predictions

GRITTERS will be out on the roads tonight to keep traffic moving.

Teams from Worcestershire County Council are set to head out following Met Office predictions of more rain, wind and low road surface temperatures over the weekend, with surface water from recent heavy rainfall liable to develop into black ice.

Drivers should drive with caution, not assuming roads have been gritted, and ensure they maintain a safe distance between themselves and other vehicles to allow for large braking distance on wet or icy roads.

Residents should also be aware of possible localised surface water flooding as well as some general disruption.
