SHEDS at a Church Hill allotment were burned to the ground during an arson attack.

The incident happened at 8am on Tuesday, January 28, at the site on Paper Mill Drive. Offenders set fire to four sheds, the fire service was able to save one of them but the other three, along with various items inside, were destroyed.

PC Stephen Woodman said: "This was a mindless attack on people's property and has without doubt upset and angered the owners.

"If you saw anyone hanging around there last Tuesday morning, running from the scene or you have any idea who is responsible for this then please let us know without delay."

Anyone with any information should call PC Woodman on 101, quoting incident reference number 70-S-280114, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
