A COUPLE were robbed in their own home in Hollywood after being threatened by armed raiders.

The victims, a man in his 60s and his wife, heard the doorbell ring at their house on Alcester Road just after 5pm on Friday (January 31).

When the man went to answer the door, two men and a woman forced it open, causing him to stumble backwards.

They were armed with a utility knife and what is believed to be a device similar to a stun gun.

The man was pushed to the floor and threatened, and his wife was pushed onto a chair while two of the robbers searched upstairs and took purses containing cash in Euros and South African Rands before leaving.

The pair were shaken by their ordeal and the man sustained a head injury but did not need medical treatment.

Four people including two men and two women, were arrested on Saturday (February 1) in onnection with the incident.

They have all been released on bail while inquiries continue.

Anyone witnesses or anyone wiith any information should call Det Con Jordan Baker at West Mercia Police on 0300 333 3000 quoting incident number 470-S-310114, or Crimestoppers anonymously 0800 555 111.
