THE NEW headteacher of a school near Alcester is looking forward to building strong relationships with the community.

Adam Walsh officially took up the post at Coughton C of E Primary School after a commissioning service at St Peter’s Church.

Children, parents, governors and staff welcomed Mr Walsh into the new role at the service, along with Linda Wainscot, director of education for the Coventry Diocese and Reverend Adrian Guthrie from Alcester Minster.

The former associate head at Shipston School said: “I have received a very warm welcome everybody and I am looking forward to strong relationships with the local community in order to enhance the learning experience of the children at the school.”
