Woman hit with metal bar in Studley

A WOMAN was hit over the head with a metal bar during a street robbery in Studley.

The victim was walking to a bank on the Alcester Road, about 1.50pm last Friday (January 17).

She was struck with the metal bar before thieves stole cash in a hessian bag and made off in a white van.

She suffered bruising to her head and leg, and was treated by ambulance staff at the scene.

One of the offenders is described as a black or Asian male, who was wearing a dark hoody underneath a dark jacket and a motorcycle face mask.

There were two or three other men in the van which was recovered in Teal Road and is believed to have been stolen.

The bag and money has not yet been found.
