A WOMAN was sexually assaulted in the toilets of a town centre pub.

The victim, who is her 20s, was on a night out with friends at The Royal Enfield, on Unicorn Hill, when she was followed into the toilets about 12.50am on Sunday (January 12).

A 24-year-old man from Redditch was arrested after the incident and has been released on bail until February 11, awaiting further inquiries.

Det Con Sarah Richardson of North Worcestershire CID said: "We know there were other women in and around the toilets and it’s vital that they come forward and tell us what they saw or heard.

"The smallest detail could be very important to our investigation so if you know anything please get in touch."

Police are currently studying CCTV footage from the pub.

Anyone with any information should contact Det Con Richardson at Redditch Police Station on 101, quoting the incident reference 32-S-120114.

Details may also be passed on anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
