AN ALCESTER school is leading the way for physics in the area.

Alcester Grammar School has officially become the new physics hub for a group of three schools across the town, Redditch and Bromsgrove.

As part of the status, the school along with St Augustine’s Catholic High, Woodrush High in Redditch and Bromsgrove School, have all received a slice of £10,000 from the Redditch and Alcester Ogden School Science Partnership to continue their outstanding work in physics.

An Alcester Grammar School spokesman: “We are very excited about the future of physics education in our schools. This injection of money will allow the physics curriculum to be enriched with resources, visits, extra-curricular activities and university links.

She added the school also hoped to work with primary schools within the community.
