A PAIR of youths have been arrested after robbing an off-licence with a pellet gun.

The two teenage boys, who had their faces covered, walked into the TCL shop on Evesham Road about 9pm on Wednesday (January 8).

They confronted the owner and threatened him with a pellet gun which they fired before running off with cigarettes and alcohol.

No-one was injured and some of the items taken have now been recovered.

Redditch CID launched an investigation after the alarm was raised and two 15-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of robbery in the Redditch area.

They are currently being held in custody.

Officers have been making door to door inquiries and have also visited traders to provide reassurance.

Det Con Jordan Baker said: "Early arrests have been made in this case following some good police work but it is vital we speak to anyone who may have seen the robbers entering or fleeing from the store on foot last night.

"If you saw or heard anything, or think you know something that could help our investigation then please get in touch without delay."

Anyone with any information should contact officers at Redditch CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting the incident reference 555-S-080114, or details can be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
