A BEOLEY healthcare assistant has been chosen to represent the West Midlands.
Joanie Spiegel, who works as an assistant oncology practitioner at BMI Priory Hospital in Birmingham, will sit on the Royal College of Nursing’s health practitioner committee.
She said: “I will highlight the great work being done by HCAs supporting nurses and other medical staff. We are all here for the same reason - to give the patients the best care possible.
“I want to use my position on the health practitioner committee to highlight the work already being done and to look for any possible improvements in the way we work in the future.”
