Man cut from car after Alvechurch crash

By Tristan Harris Tuesday 07 January 2014 Updated: 07/01 13:23

THE A441 in Alvechurch was closed for almost two hours this morning (Tuesday) after a crash about 6am.

A 43-year-old Longbridge man had to be cut from his Vauxhall Corsa after it collided with a barrier near where the Radford Road goes over the carriageway.

He was then taken to the Alexandra Hospital.

The incident led to extensive rush hour traffic jams for morning commuters on their way to work.

The highway was reopened at around 8.40am after the vehicle was recovered.
