A MAN had to be rescued from an Inkberrow ditch in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Police were called to the scene off Priory Farm Lane at 4am on Wednesday and requested a fire engine from Redditch, an ambulance and community first responder also attended. Firefighters were able to release the man in his 50s while a second man had managed to escape from the ditch unaided.
