AROUND £900 was raised for the British Heart Foundation in a Christmas hamper raffle.

Volunteers form the town centre store sold raffle tickets to shoppers offering them the chance to win the festive package courtesy of Marks and Spencer.

Every store across the country takes part in the annual even to boost funds for the charity at Christmas time.

All the money will go towards paying for thousands of research projects across the UK in a bid to fight against heart disease.

Around 200 people in Redditch who suffer from cardiac problems are using a service offered by the charity.

The winning ticket belonged to a Malvern couple who collected their prize just in time for Christmas.
