YOUNG people on the autistic spectrum are set to benefit from the fund-raising of a Redditch family.

Jordan and Connor Mills, aged 12 and seven respectively, raised more than £500 by climbing Ben Nevis with their parents.

The money has been donated to the Spectrum Orange Club, run by Your Ideas in Matchborough for residents aged ten to 15.

Project manager Pauline Marshall said: “The club offers a very nurturing and supportive environment that suits young people who are on the spectrum. They raised over £500 which will really help towards the running of the club.

“It is so great to have support from members and their families, it is a brilliant achievement for the family. We are very grateful for the funds raised as it will allow us to develop the much-needed activities and services for the group.”
