Man steals from Tesco store

A MAN stole magazines and a handful of air fresheners from a Studley shop.

The shoplifter, who is in his early 20s, was seen by a member of staff putting an X Box magazine into a bag along with the air fresheners about 12.30pm at Tesco Express on Wednesday (December 18).

The staff member confronted the man but he pushed past him and ran out on to the high street towards the Barley Mow pub.

The offender is white, slim, about 5ft 8inches tall, and was wearing jeans, a fluorescent jacket an a furry hat with furry ears.

Police are examining CCTV footage but would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about the offender by calling 101.
