A MAN was left with broken teeth following a town centre assault on Christmas Day.

The incident happened between 3am and 4am on Wednesday (December 25) on Unicorn Hill after the victim intervened when a man he did not know began making comments to a female friend.

He was kicked and punched, leaving him with soreness to his ankle and hand and a swollen eye, and his top front teeth were shattered.

There were three offenders, one of whom was a white man aged 21, approximately 5ft 10in to 5ft 11in, of chubby build with spiky hair.

Anyone with any information should call PC Dan Icke on 101, quoting incident 132-s-251213, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
