A CHOIR raised more than £100 for a missing person’s charity by performing in front of shoppers.

Bromsgrove and Redditch Rock Choir members belted out tunes including True Colours by Cyndi Lauper and Last Christmas by Wham! at the BHS store in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, as part of the company’s Home for Christmas campaign.

The money will be donated to the Missing People charity, offering a lifeline for the 25,000 people who run away or go missing every year.

Christa Hugo, the group’s choir leader, said: “This time of year is particularly difficult for those people who are missing loved ones - the money we raised will help Missing People reunite families this Christmas.”

Redditch Rock Choir rehearses at Studley Sports Centre on Wednesdays between 8pm and 9.30pm. No auditions or previous musical experience are necessary. Call 01252 714276.
