MORE than 100 youngsters took to the stage to for their Christmas production.

Pupils from St Stephen’s First School sang their hearts out in the musical Rock Around the Flock, which told the traditional nativity tale as seen through the eyes of five comical shepherds.

The performance, which featured children from Year 1 to Year 4, also showcased dancing animals, angels, stars and a stunning solo by Lucy Johnson who played Angel Gabriel and Lillie Rudd-Cater as Mary.

Deputy headteacher Sarah Barratt said: “The children and staff have all worked incredibly hard and it is lovely when a show finally comes together.”
