A REDDITCH pub famous for its mansize food challenges has come up with a belly bulging festive feast.

The Duck Inn’s Festive banquet contains a whopping 5,000 calories and contains no less than a whole golden roasted turkey and 25 each of roast potatoes, parsnips, stuffing balls, pigs in blankets, honey roasted carrots, sprouts, broccoli and cauliflower and a rich gravy and cranberry sauce.

Those brave enough to take on the food mountain have 45 minutes to devour it and earn themselves a place on the Oakenshaw pub’s wall of fame, a t-shirt and certificate.

For every banquet created the equivalent amount of food will be donated to Redditch Food Bank.

It is the third food challenge devised by owners Ashley and Louise Gargan following on from their 80oz steak challenge and Man vs Duck Burger creation.

The festive banquet costs £35, is available until December 31 and must be pre-ordered. Call 01527 540106 for more information.
