A FORMER Britain’s Got Talent winner is bringing his nationwide tour to Redditch.

Jai McDowall shot to UK wide fame when he won the talent contest in 2011. Before that he appeared as a contestant on The X Factor and The American Idol Experience where he auditioned whilst on holiday in the USA in 2009 and won.

His debut album was released on Sony Music, to acclaim, in December 2011 and he is currently working on his second album, for release via Absolute (Universal) in 2014.

Jai is stopping off at the Palace Theatre, Redditch on his nationwide tour on Friday, February 21 next year.

After winning BGT, McDowall went on to duet with Hayley Westenra and Josh Groban, perform at the Royal Variety Show in November 2011, before appearing as the celebrity act during the final of China’s Got Talent, before an audience of 250 million.

This year he finished his first headline tour of Scotland, before going on to support Ronan Keating.
