Paul's photos make a date with charity

WALKS around Redditch with his dog have inspired an amateur photographer to produce a charity calender.

Paul Wilde, who regularly has pictures shown on television news programmes and in magazines, has compiled a 2014 calendar featuring dozens of shots of the borough taken during his daily walks with Missie.

The idea started three years ago when he put together a set of pictures taken of dogs which were sold to fellow walkers. They suggested he should compile a calendar showing the changing seasons and he decided to send the profits to Cancer Research UK in memory of his first wife who passed away following a battle with the disease.

He now fund-raises annually for the charity and, having raised £500 last year, Mr Wilde is hoping to reach £750 with this year's effort.

The Hither Green Lane resident said he aimed to show Redditch changing through the seasons in each month's pictures.

"I like sharing my photographs and it's a nice way of keeping track of what's going on in and around Redditch. It's done on a seasonal basis so the year unfolds as you go through the calendar."

To order a copy, priced at £12.50 plus £1.40 postage, e-mail or call 07798 930582.
