Man performed indecent act on himself on Redditch to Birmingham train

OFFICERS from British Transport Police have released CCTV pictures in a bid to track down a man who performed a prolonged indecent act on himself on a train as it was travelling from Redditch to Birmingham.

The incident took place at around 5pm on October 27 as the train was approaching New Street Station.

The train left Redditch at 4.27pm and the man was spotted by a passenger who was sat opposite him.

PC Ali Jama, investigating officer, said: “The offender’s actions were completely unacceptable and I am now calling on anyone with information about the incident to come forward."

He urged anyone who witnessed the incident or recognised the man to call British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40, text BTP on 61016 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The reference number for the incident is WWA/B6 of 03/12/13.
