SPORTY fund-raisers took part in a 24-hour boxathon to raise funds for a new charity.
Viking Boxing Club owner Lar O’Connor, Gavin Townsend, Danny Lewis-Price and Rosie Mcgowan raised almost £150 during the event at the club in Lakeside for Danny’s organisation BoxAid UK.
He said: “The people who we got down there supported us and got right behind us.
“It was good until about 6am when we all hit a brick wall and it was really hard from then.”
British and Commonwealth Welterweight Champion Frankie Gavin also attended and posed for pictures with guests.
Danny will now be hosting a series of endurance events to build up to an attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record of 40 hours of boxing non-stop.
