A MAN who co-founded a barbers shop 30 years ago which went on to become a Redditch institution has passed the clippers on to the next generation.
Malcs Barbers was opened in Lodge Park by brothers Malcolm and Neil Wright. In 1993 Neil’s daughter Lisa started working there sweeping the floor and making the tea. She later attended college so she could swap the broom for the scissors and began working on the shop floor in 1998.
More than 20 years on she has now taken on the role of shop manager.
Neil said: “It was great to be able to hand the business over to Lisa so we could maintain the family tradition and atmosphere”
