SURESTART staff will be putting their best feet forward this weekend to raise charity money in memory of a colleague.
A group of 12, including one dressed as the SureStart mascot Scoot Squirrel, are set to take part in the Birmingham Twilight Race for Life tomorrow evening (Friday) and have already beaten their original fund-raising target for Cancer Research UK.
Gemma Oakley said they were taking part after losing a member of the team to cancer earlier this year.
"We are really pleased as we only set out with a target of £500 and we have trebled that so far. Even if it is raining we will be looking forward to it."
Visit www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/team-scoot or text RCCC84 followed by the amount to 70070 to donate.
