A TEENAGE boy was hit in the ribs and face while travelling on a bus through town.
The 13-year-old was on the number 58 at the bus station between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday, September 29, when he was approached by a man.
The man shouted he wanted 'respect' and then hit him in the ribs and face.
The attacker, who was escorted off the bus by a security guard, is white, in his 30s, and was wearing a dark suit and shirt.
PC Karen Hyslop of West Mercia Police said: "Although this happened several weeks ago, the bus was packed and we are sure other passengers would remember the incident, but as yet no witnesses have come forward.
She added although the boy did not suffer any injuries, he was shocked by the man's behaviour as he did not know him and the attack was unprovoked.
Witnesses or anyone with any information should contact PC Hyslop on the non-emergency number 101 quoting incident 576-s-290913 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
