FOLK fans are in for a treat when a father and son duo take to the stage.
Ashley Hutchings, a founder member of Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span, will be performing with his son Blair Dunlop at The Bridge Church in Headless Cross.
A spokeswoman for the Live and Local Shindig event said: “Blair Dunlop is a captivating young vocalist, phenomenal guitarist and over the past year he has emerged as one of the UK’s finest singer-songwriters.
“This special evening sees the two talented musicians perform original tunes and traditional folk songs alongside instrumental jigs and reels.
“Together they produce a warm, intimate atmosphere, like being in the cosy front room of their cottage on a cold winter’s night.”
Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm performance on Saturday, October 19. Tickets costing £10 (£9) are available from Maureen Brown on 01527 542281 or from the Memorial Hall between 10am and 1pm on Thursdays or Fridays.
