A SEVERE weather warning has been issued for the county for tomorrow (Thursday).

The Met Office has forecast heavy rain and thunderstorms across the West Midlands, including Worcestershire.

A yellow warning, which urges residents to 'be aware', was issued after 15 to 20mm of rain was predicted for the day, with some places seeing up to 50mm and the potential for 20mm or more to hit in one hour.

A statement on the organisation's website said there could be 'torrential downpours' and warned the public to be aware of potential flooding. Motorists have also been advised there may be some traffic disruption as a result of the bad weather.
